According to the special aide of former President John Dramani Mahama, President Akufo-Addo’s top priority is that Godwin Eduzi Tamakroy has never become a health infrastructure.
According to him, since President Akufo-Addo took over power from former President Mahama, according to data from the Bank of Ghana, as of June, the public debt of just over 122 billion Ghana Cedis has increased to 322 billion Ghana Cedis.
In Okay FM's "Ade Akye Abia" morning show, Edudzi Tamakloe hinted that the president's priority is "borrowing and logging"; therefore, the ruling NPP government only knows about consumption, not infrastructure projects.
"You have borrowed many times. If medical infrastructure is your top priority, what will you do? Health has never been a priority of the Akufo-Addo government. The top priority of the Akufo-Addo government is consumption. They borrow money to support themselves, not to borrow money for infrastructure projects," he asserted.
"Even the initial funding for the 111 agenda item came from the Ghana Investment Infrastructure Fund (GIF) established by former President John Dramani Mahama in 2014..." he pointed out.
He explained that the Ghana Infrastructure Fund is helping the Akufo-Addo government realize its "111 Agenda" hospital project.
He added that President Akufo-Addo has a record of not fulfilling his promise to build a hospital because he has cut turf for several hospital projects, but none of them have started.
"Health is wealth is a statement that I have always believed in, hence it is a great idea if a person decided to put his money into health, but what records has our president made? The president has been cutting grass for hospital projects and we have not seen any information about them," He said.
