Good Evening Ghanaian host Paul Adom-Otchere objected to the report by Zoomlion’s award-winning investigative reporter Manasseh Azure Awuni.
The former Joy FM employee's use of stealing Zoomlion in the government audit report was very impulsive, said Mr. Adom-Otchere
In the editorial of the program on the preliminary report of the Auditor General on Zoomlion’s GHS 95 million waste treatment plant, he stated that the report is not conclusive to anyone accusing Zoomlion of theft.
"This is a very, very reckless title. That's why today when you go to GhanaWeb and put it in, you won't see this story. They are protecting him. Because anyone who issues a defamation order against this person, he Will win."
Paul Adom-Otchere further argued that there was no response from Zoomlion in the initial report of AG, so it should wait patiently before the final report.
Manasseh Azure wrote an article on the Auditor General’s report, with the title: "The government stole our money and gave it to Zoomlion."
Azure Manasseh in a post on Facebook claimed that another violation has ben caused as the Sarpong Group of Companies was listed in the audit report.
As far as he is concerned, the government is closely related to the company, and the figures disclosed by the Auditor General are only a small part of the actual payments the government makes to the company.
Manasseh criticized President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for failing to fulfill his promise to stop transactions that benefit private citizens at the expense of national interests. Manasseh further asked whether President Akufo-Addo's change in this matter indicated that he personally benefited from what he believed was the plundering of public wallets by the Jospong Group of Companies.
Mr. Adom-Otchere further stated that Manasseh Azure's reckless work was the reason for his dismissal from Multimedia, and he will face further dismissal in the future.
