JHS student goes to jail for killing a friend - he narrates how it actually occurred | Owl News Gh

As an 18-year-old boy in JHS 2, James Adjei was remanded in Winneba Central Prison for the murder of his friend Richmond Larbi. James recalled that on this faithful day, their English teacher put the homework on the blackboard and promised to reward those who did everything right.

He said that his first test was correct, but the second test result was zero. Since he was the eldest student in the class, his friends began to make fun of his zero grade. One of his friends, Benjamin Osei, warned them to stop what they were doing, but they ignored it. He said that the deceased, Richmond made fun of him, and kept pulling on his uniform until his uniform was torn.

Out of anger, he threw the drawing board at him, hitting his rib area. The boy cried and walked over and sat down. The boy could no longer stand and was taken to the hospital for treatment. He was subsequently transferred to Agona Duakwa Hospital. It was announced at their closing meeting that afternoon that Richmond had passed away.

James recounted how he cried and was very scared of what happened. Because he knew the seriousness of his behavior, he refused to go home and instead slept in a nearby plantation. Since then, he has been sleeping in his own building until he heard the rumors of his escape. Then he decided to give up on himself. When he got home, the police came to look for him. He was taken to court and remanded in custody awaiting trial.

He said that he regretted his actions very much and suggested that if someone hurts us, we must be able to forgive and not let our emotions drive us to commit such a crime that leads to the loss of precious lives. James added that Richmond is his good friend. They ate together and even shared clothes, but because of anger, this terrible thing happened.
